Well what a way to kick off our regular meetings, 5 joining members, 2 proposals for initiates and an Initiation ceremony! We were in Bourne for this meeting and witnessed a wonderful First Degree Ceremony, in which Jeffrey Nannetti was initiated into our ancient fraternity. Things are looking very bright for AFLL and we cannot wait to see what the future has to offer.

An article about our consecration has been published in the Masonic Lincs magazine this month. A very interesting read and Bro Goat even managed to make the front cover alongside our WM Bob Chalklin.

Another day of firsts for AFLL over at Louth Masonic Centre. The day was filled with the banter and camaraderie we expect to see at AFLL. We performed a double First Degree ceremony in which Thomas Hancock and Joseph Wilkes were initiated into our ancient fraternity. We also had another joining member, W Bro Martin Goodwin and received a proposition for another joining member. The future is looking very bright for our lodge.

Over 50 member and guests were present at Sleaford to witness Bro Nannetti passed to the Second Degree. The brethren were treat to fantastic ceremony with the military precision you would expect from this merry band of brothers. As usual the banter and drinks were flowing at the festive board, there really is different vibe at an AFLL festive board.

Bro Ryan Dolby organised a visit to our closest sister military lodge, Invictus, at York. Worshipful Master Bob Chalklin, Bro Tom Hancock and Bro Goat were treat to a fantastic ceremony of passing. Like ourselves, Invictus know how to enjoy themselves at the festive board and the military banter was in full flow. Another special aspect of the day was meeting a group of brethren from Norway which may have spark an interest for a new visit. Bro goat could be going international!

Brethren of the Armed Forces Lodge and their partners were out in good form at the Battle of Britain Ball hosted by Daedalus at Sleaford Masonic Rooms. A fantastic even was has by all. Great food was eaten, good wine was drank and new friends were made!

Today saw our Primus Master, WBro Bob Chalklin, install WBro Kearn Malin into the chair of King Solomon. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since our consecration but the lodge gets busier and that inter-service banter still flows freely. The brethren of the Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire would like to thank Bob for leading well from the front, both on the lead up to our formation and during his year in office. We also hope you will join us in congratulating Kearn on his installation and we look forward to another fantastic year ahead!
